This board is available in two variants where one type is a classic beginner board that has a soft top to reduce the risk of injury when falling on the board, which happens more often than you might think. The other variant is for spots with a lot of stones or other things that can damage the board. In other words, you don't have to be as careful with the board as with other types that are more sensitive to impacts. Regardless of which variant, with a softboard you will catch a lot of waves due to the larger volume and length.
